Community Success: Gartly Coffee Morning Raises £250 for Local Toddlers!

On Saturday, May 20th, the Gartly Community Association held a coffee morning to raise funds for the local toddler group. The event was a great success, raising over £250 for the little ones of the community. The funds raised will go towards providing new soft play mats and external landscaping, making the play area safer and more enjoyable for all.

The coffee morning, which took place at the Gartly Community Hall (affectionately known as the Tin Hut), was a delightful affair. The aroma of fresh coffee and sweet treats filled the air as locals came together for a morning of community spirit and fundraising. The event featured a variety of stalls, including the Tin Hut Sessions, Maureen Thorpe, and hand-decorated jars.

The Tin Hut Sessions provided live music for the event, filling the space with lively tunes and upbeat energy. Maureen Thorpe, a local artist, showcased her beautiful handmade crafts, including knitted scarves and hats, and hand-painted greeting cards. The hand-decorated jars were a popular item, with a variety of designs and colors to choose from. All of the proceeds from the stalls went towards the fundraiser.

The refreshments were a hit with attendees, with a selection of teas, coffees, and sweet treats available. The tombola was also a big draw, with many lucky winners taking home prizes such as chocolates and candles.

The Gartly Community Association would like to thank everyone who attended the event and contributed to the fundraiser. The success of the coffee morning is a testament to the generosity and community spirit of the Gartly locals. The funds raised will make a significant difference in the lives of the little ones of the community, providing them with a safer and more enjoyable play area.

If you missed out on the event, don't worry! The Gartly Community Association hosts a variety of events throughout the year, so keep an eye out for future opportunities to get involved and support your local community.
